Welcome to our front door

The front door to 9 Cindy Crt.

The frame is constructed from standard profile Western Red  Cedar. The glass is double glazed & toughened, the top & bottom at respective sides match the curve of the door paneling & top & bottom rails of the door.

The door is made from 65mm thick Western Red Cedar. It is rebated to fit over the door stop & it is sealed all around, so it closes with a shuhch rather than a clunk. The paneling is created from recycled Western Red Cedar rescued from a ski lodge at Mt Hotham Ski resort. It had to be glue laminated together to get wide enough boards to cut the shapes from.

The curves of the door were created to compliment the subtle curves of the roof on the building & to represent the eucalypt leaves of the surrounding vegetation.
