This Design of mine from the standard range of dwellings is currently being constructed by A Randell in Tawonga Sth, & it of course comes with the obligatory stunningly beautiful panorama of the East side of the Kiewa Valley.
Note the views to Mt Bogong. I do rave on about it but I cannot help myself Cos it is wonderful.
In this next pic is an example of why domestic building costs are going up. The site is fenced in, think of the rental for the fencing for 3 months. Note the scaffolding on the verandah, a couple of years ago that would have been a pair of trestles & planks at best, or a couple of planks supported on a few 4 x 2's at worst. More hire cost $$'s. I don't know about the fencing but any builder who wants to be in business for long cannot do without the scaffolding & all the other OH&S regs that have been initiated in the past few years. Last year the first industrial death in Australia was on a building site. The man supported a wife & 3 children, he died on the 6th of January after a fall from
3 meters.
